Being the crazy artichoke lover that I am, I had to purchase a few of the fake artichokes & display them in a chunky wood candle holder.. such a cute idea & a fun, fresh centerpiece for our dining room table!

Canton Finds: Red Apple Antiques
Red Apple Antiques was a new find for me at Canton this past month. This cute little shop is full of fruits, vegetables, and other foods that look delicious & edible, but are completely fake. The shop was set up like a beautiful outdoor market and made me wish big-time that I was in Europe..

Etsy Fav: Nest Pretty Things by Tamar
I'm obsessed... I want to buy pretty much everything in this shop! Tamar is a Creative Director and Photo Stylist turned Interior decorator and Product designer & has beautiful jewelry creations & apparently a beautiful home as well. Etsy featured her on the home decor edition of the Storque (Etsy blog).
Also, here is Tamar's blog if you're interested. Her jewelry is really fresh, unique & creative, but affordable too - yay!
Here are a few of my favorite Nest Pretty Things!

Beachy Bliss
For some reason, today I'm having a total craving to go to the beach... I'm not sure why since all they talk about on the news is the tar washing up on the shores, but whatev... a little tar wouldn't ruin my beach vacation. :)
However, since I have no chance in actually going to the beach - I searched "beach" on a few of my favorite websites and found some pretty beautiful things that would satisfy my beach cravings temporarily... had I the $ to purchase them! Enjoy!

Canton Finds: Vintage Hutches
Canton has great furniture. You can find whatever piece of furniture you are looking for at Canton -- beds, nightstands, kitchen carts, bookcases, tables - everything! But today I am showing off a few cool hutches that my mom & I found while browsing around. I love the details in each piece -- nothing you would find at Ikea or Target! (Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Ikea & Target fan, I just love the detail and charm of these old pieces).
Chicken wire is a fun, cottagey accent that makes furniture look shabby -- looove it.

Foodie Etsy Fav: Macarones!
Umm could these look more delicious and fancy!? I have never eaten a macarone so I can't be sure, but by the looks of these pretty little bite-sized pastries, I think I would be a fan.
There aren't many macarones to choose from on Etsy -- but the ones I stumbled across were all beautiful and beautifully photographed!

Canton Finds: Cool Containers
On a recent trip to Canton I decided it would be fun to take pictures of some of my favorite things & feature them on the blog. It was actually a very good decision as far as my wallet goes because instead of buying all the things I loved, I felt satisfied knowing I could take their pictures and share them on the blog later. :) yay.
I did buy a few things, though & soon I will post the fun ways I took cheap flea-market finds & turned them into cute home accents. Also - my mom joined me on the trip and bought a beautiful vintage door that she is in the process of turning into their new king sized-bed headboard. More on that crafty DIY project later!
As for today, check out these cool containers found in Canton that could be used in a variety of ways.

I can see them on the patio with flowers or plants for sure.. also the vintage bottle crates could be used to store rolled up magazines - would be really cute! I love the bold colors of the containers and the rustic charm.. you wouldn't have to do a thing to them except add whatever you're storin'!

Our Home: The Benson Wall
The home feature today (& the very FIRST "Our Home" feature) is a very recent addition which we lovingly refer to as The Benson Wall... because well, that's what it is. Yes we're obsessed & yes we have a whole wall dedicated to a dog. But lets be honest, he's more than a dog - he's the love of my life. Sorry Peter.

My wonderful & talented friend Katie Norris did a photoshoot of the Boynton fam (P, Me, & Benson) a couple of months ago (I was determined to capture his precious puppyness in professional photographs). So in order to display these lovely pics we stuck 2 shelves from Ikea on the wall & I got the joy of spray painting all my old, worn frames with the fab colors of my choice - a dangerous amount of freedom to give me! I have no filter when it comes to color.. more & brighter is always better contrary to what all you neutral-loving people think.
Also when I say "we stuck 2 shelves on the wall" I should probably give credit where credit is due - I had nothing to do with this. I simply buy the annoying things from Ikea & make Peter build & install them or in this case, mount them to the wall with no instructions. I think I should take advantage of this while we are newlyweds because I'm thinking this service might not last forever!
All this to say, I was pumped to feature my favorite new photos in frames that pop with color & texture - stacked on chunky shelves against our previously bare wall. Perfect! And easy! Except Peters part. :) Check out the pics below! And start spray painting your old, ugly frames now!

PS -- if you love Benson and want a cutie just like him, check out your local animal shelters - we adopted him at 4 months old using Pet Finder & love him like crazy (clearly!).

Love Me, Love My Dog
For a little foreshadowing of tomorrow's first "Our Home" feature, check out Oh Louise!'s new "Love Me, Love My Dog" print.

I think dog lovers everywhere will agree with this statement. I meannn, so what if my dog is barking at you and jumping on you with muddy paws - love me, love him! He can't help it if he's a little scarred from his days as an orphan puppy! Oooh I kid, he's not scarred. I just like making excuses for my precious pup... some may call it enabling. But just look at this face...
Imagine trying to leave for work when your dog has put himself in this position... not fair Benson, not fair.
