A Succulent Bridal Shower!

My best friend Lindsay got married last weekend in Austin & we threw a bridal luncheon for her on the Friday before her wedding at Abel's on the Lake. We decided to go with a succulent theme (just cause it sounded fun!) -- here are some pics below!

The invitations for the shower had a yellow chevron background with aqua and coral succulents (made by Oh Louise! of course!). For each place setting we planted a succulent in a mercury jar vase from West Elm. I used metal stamps to put each guests initials on a vintage silver plated spoon (this was also their partay favor).

I found a couple of old wooden crates in Canton for $5 a piece and stained them to get them the right color. Then we had Dirt (a florist specializing in succulents in Bishop Arts in Dallas) fill both crates with a variety of succulents and a few flowers that coordinated with the invitation colors.

We also had a menu at each place setting that coordinated with the invitations.

One of the tables all finished!

Another pic of a place setting.

My sister posing with her mimosa :)

We spray painted this frame from ikea to use as a photo prop!

Beautiful succulent petit fours for dessert made by Red Raspberry. They were a huge hit! :)

The end!! Hope you enjoyed our succulent shower! :)

Mol's Invite

As I said in an earlier post, Mollie (my sister) is head of Chi Omega songfest (at A&M) for next year... a really big job! She recently asked me to make invitations for a meeting they were hosting for all of the different songfest leaders from each sorority/fraternity. We decided on the damask horizontal invitation and she chose yellow and purple. I think they turned out great and I know her friends loved them! So happy I could make them for her and be a little part of her big job!

Hope you like it! Have a great day!

Rehearsal Dinner Invites!

Peter's good friend from school, Justin recently asked me to design he and Kiley's rehearsal dinner invitation. He and his mom were a lot of fun and just said to go for it and design whatever I wanted. A few of the options I made them are below... I won't feature the one they chose until after the invite goes out... don't want to ruin the surprise! I also gave them the freedom to choose any 2 colors they wanted, these are just the colors I used for the samples. Hope you like them!

You might notice that the big white shape in the first photo is the shape used in my logo... I love that shape and use it when I can! The other shape shown in picture 2 and 4 was one of the options for my logo... it was too much for my logo, but I love it on invites.
I haven't put these designs on Etsy yet, but plan to soon. I love doing invitations because I feel like I get to be a part of the celebration - it's so fun!
