Boy Nursery Inspiration

I've gotten some requests lately for a blog post on nursery inspiration so I was feeling motivated this morning & compiled some pics! These are not necessarily ideas that are going to end up in my nursery, just photos that I'm drawn to for one reason or another. Anyway, here they are!

Hopefully sometime soon I'll have pictures of my own nursery to show... Won't be as cute as these precious ones above, but I'm gonna do my best to try! :)

Halloween Party!

Last year Peter and I hosted a little Halloween party for some of our friends. All of us girls signed up for different food items before the party & it ended up being really cute so I wanted to share some pics!

Dry ice green koolaid and vodka punch, halloween cupcakes and chili and cornbread in mason jars!

Benson was a sock monkey!! I made his costume out of sweaters I bought at a thrift store.

Bat garland made out of a black table cloth from the dollar tree. EEK letters bought at Jo Ann's and covered with spray adhesive and glitter!

Votives with black licorice... easy and cute! Also, halloween straws from the dollar tree.

Candy corn filler in a giant mason jar.

Meatballs in the crockpot.. yum! And cute halloween cookies made by my mom.

An upclose pic of the delicious chili and cornbread in mason jars made by Jen.

Upclose pic of the halloween cupcakes

Crescent Mummy Dogs!

Last but not least, the bar with a DIY chevron pennant banner!

Hope you enjoyed our halloween partay... can't wait to have another one this year! Just gotta figure out   what Benson is going to be... the most important detail of the party, of course. :)

Baby Boynton Gender Reveal!

My sweet A&M friends (I call them that even though technically only half of them went to A&M) threw Peter and me a little gender reveal party a couple weeks ago and it was so cute and fun! Below are the cute hostesses... Emily, Gina, Berkeley, Nicole, Kiley, and Jennifer. All of our husbands went to A&M together which is how they got the title "A&M friends".

**the quality, pretty pictures below are taken by my friend Jason Kindig of Jason Kindig Photography, but please note that the not so quality ones are not by him.. they are by my iphone! :)

Cute cupcakes made by the talenteddd Amanda Buccola of  Red Raspberry Cakes
And cute bow and mustache cookies made by my mom -- her website is here
water bottle labels for baby boynton!
the chalkboard where all the guests could vote on whether it was a boy or girl...
and the cute bows and mustaches that people pinned on their shirts!
Maybe these old wives tales are more accurate than we think!
Cute balloons and food table
Baby pics of me and Peter.. such a good idea!
The hostesses also had everyone secretly bring a book for Baby Boynton!

Now for the REVEEAALLL..... whats it gonna be!?

IT'S A BOYnton!!! Peter was clearly very excited.... :)

Showing off the blue filling in my cupcake
Happy parents-to-be!

And here's a video in case you want to watch Peter throw his arms in the air and bang the countertop with overwhelming joy...its pretty priceless. Sorry the video is little and blurry!

Can't wait to meet our little baby boy... thanks again hostesses for the super fun partay!!

Vacay Part Two - BEAVER CREEK

After our two nights in Vail, Peter & I headed over to Beaver Creek and stayed at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch Resort... its probably the nicest hotel we will stay in for a very long time!! :)

Pretty little wedding spot... I wish I could say we stood under the arbor and whispered sweet nothings to each other, but we didnt... just walked by it. hah

The little town of Beaver Creek...

We took the ski lift up the mountain to eat lunch and hike.. it was so pretty & one of my favorite things we did!

Where we ate lunch on top of the mountain

Pre-hike pic!

Just the beginning of Peter wanting to kill me for all the solo-pics I made him take.

I was apparently straggling behind... between taking pictures & being pregnant, its hard to keep up!

We made a couple of deer friends along the way. Lil cuties.

Sure these things are probably for kids, but I thought they were fun too. so suuueee me.

Pretty pretty colorado.

I found a walking stick. But then it gave me splinters so I gave up on that cute idea.

Post hike relaxinnnn.

The pretty view down the mountain. Straight ahead is the beaver creek golf course that peter played!

Our patio over-looking the pool

View from our patio!

Another view from our patio.. such a beautiful resort!
We had such a good time in Vail and Beaver Creek and definitely came home feeling refreshed and relaxed, much more ready for Baby Boynton preparations!

Next blog posts should be gender reveal party pics and a 19 week bump pic, so stay tuned! :)
